Just like anything else that people obsess about, I happen to be kitchen obsessed.
I like fancy kitchens and fancy kitchen tools. If you are like me, you probably have an issue deciding what the best for your usage is. I want it ALL!! And maybe you do too.
However, that is not always the way to go. Not only do you need a fortune to make this happen, but there are a lot of catchy gadgets on the markets that you might think to be helpful, whereas they are not.
Even if you are not a kitchen lover, and you want to upgrade your ten years old kitchen tools, we made a list of gadgets you must have in your new kitchen. So, without further ado, let’s get right into it. To make things easier we will divide this list into three categories:
Category One: It’s All About the Heat
Category Two: Electric Gadgets
Category Three: Your Everyday Use
Category One: It’s All About the Heat

1. Crock-pot or a Slow Cooker
This wonderful kitchen tool is energy saving, great for cooking chicken, making soup, and heating leftovers when you want to eat them later. It consists of a pot with a glass lid and a heating element. If you have a busy family, this is a must get gadgets.
2. A Stainless Steel Set
There are a variety of sets on the market. The difference is in the quality and the number of pieces included in the set. There is no need to mention that the better the quality of the set, the more pricey you should expect it to be.
However, if you are renewing your entire kitchen, there’s no need to get such an expensive set, an average one will do. As for the number of pieces, well, it depends on your family size.
3. Pans
We recommend you get a set on nonstick pans. They are great for making pancakes and for cooking your morning omelet. Personally, I have two pans. However, I live on my own. If your family is big, then you might at least, need four pans of different sizes.
4. Baking Dishes
You might already have your own set of Pyrex dishes. I find them quite durable and extremely useful. If you feel like they need replacement or you don’t have ones, we recommend you to get your set. However, if you only got yours a couple of years ago, keep using them. I’ve had mine for years, and they’re still handy.
5. Baking Sheets
The last on this category are the baking sheets. Who doesn’t like cookies on a cold winter night? Nonstick baking sheets are light, they heat easily, and also, they are durable.
Category Two: Electric Gadgets

1. Blenders
Blenders are great, and you will need them for making tomato juices while cooking, also, for smoothies and cocktails. Depending on your use, you can either go for plastic containers or preferably, glass ones.
One thing that you need to pay good attention to while buying a blender is its power. If you are going to use ice in your blender, make sure its container is made of glass, and it has enough power for crushing your ice.
However, you might not need to get an expensive blender, and you can find a decent blender for $40 that will get the job done.
2. Hand Mixers
For me, there is not a week that goes by without using a hand mixer. From whipping cream to making cheesecakes, sponge cakes, cookie dough and more. I recommend you get one with different speeds to be able to have better control over how fast it goes.
3. A Food Processor
Let’s do some slicing, shall we? Yet, using a knife is time-consuming, and you don’t usually get the best results. Moreover, chopping something like onions or garlic can leave your hand smelling for days. Some food processors can be used for slicing tomatoes, potatoes, and different fruits. Again, watch for the power of the food processor you are planning to get.
4. Toasters
Nothing is as delicious as hot, toasted bread with some cheese on it. If you think the same, then having a toaster in your kitchen is a must.
5. Juicers
Juicers are a must get gadget. For a lot of us, having fresh juice in the morning or after you make it back from the gym is a routine. Unless you have the time and power to squeeze fruits using your bare hands, you should get a juicer right away.
6. Rice Cooker
Rice cookers are great kitchen gadgets. If you don’t like dry, overcooked, and sticky rice, you must get one of these. Your rice will always be as fluffy and easy to make in no time.
7. Electric Water Kettle
Water boilers are essentials. If you are a tea person, then you should get a kettle immediately. Again, my favorites are stainless steel kettles because they are more durable.
Category Three: Your Everyday Use

1. A Cutting Board
Having a cutting board is essential in every kitchen. I find wooden ones to be a lot better than plastic ones. However, a lot of people prefer plastic ones, others use both.
2. A Knife Set, Spoon set, and a Fork Set
This goes without saying; you will need these in different sizes and numbers. You do the math.
3. Spatulas
Rubber spatulas are the best. You will need at least three or four different-sized spatulas. Well, no need to mention what you might need a spatula for, it’s quite clear, and we all use them daily.
4. Measuring Cups and Spoons
Owning a measuring cup is the easiest and most accurate way to a perfect recipe. The same goes for measuring spoons, especially if they are made of stainless steel.
5. Colanders
They are another day to day use gadget. Pasta and vegetables draining is something that no one can live without. I even use mine for draining French fries sometimes.
6. A Grater
Many people, including myself, hate store-grated cheese. Having a grater is an easy way to grate your cheese, onions, and other vegetables. It’s lightweight and pretty convenient.
7. Storage Containers
Last but not least, you should get containers. You will need different sizes and probably two or three sets. The best thing is, there’s a great variety of containers on the market and they’re not expensive so, I guarantee you that you will find what you need.
8. Mixing Bowls
If you are looking for the best, get stainless mixing bowls. They are both durable and handy. Yet, a lot of people prefer plastic ones because they are more affordable.
And now our list is complete, hope you find it helpful!
